That's a lot of baseball! This is the final push to determine our standing in the Playoff games. We need to play our very best if we are to advance past Round 1.
RUN FASTER, SWING HARDER, THROW FARTHER!
Don't panic. Rushed throws miss your target and often lead to runs scored for the opponent. Chasing runners in a panic will not win the game.
Make a decision and stick with it. If you're going to steal, STEAL; if you're going to swing, SWING. Listen to your coaches and give it everything you've got! (Nod to Mr. Scott of the NCC-1701).
Focus on the game and be aware. Who's on base, how many outs, where is the smartest play. It's all about stellar fielding and run prevention.
Don't swing for the fences. Everyone loves a monster hit into the outfield but it's just as important to make contact with the ball and get on base. There's eleven other batters who will do their best to get you across home plate.
HAVE FUN. There's a reason it's called "playing". These are your friends and classmates - so enjoy the game and remember, it is just a game, after all.
